While this is a national chain, we felt that it should be added to our list of Louisville breweries, as they do brew actual beer here. We’re completists, not always elitists. Plus, they’re awesome dudes.

Inspired by the Reinheitsgebot of 1516, the Gordon Biersch experience rests upon the foundations of purity, simplicity and precision. This philosophy is most recognizable in our selection of authentic German lagers and ales, each crafted on-site using only the highest quality malted barley imported from the 135 year old Weyermann malting company in Bamberg, Germany, bavarian-grown hops, weihenstephan yeast and pure, filtered water. Our brewer Nick also pays homage to the best of European and American brewing traditions and trends by creating seasonal and one-off beers that you will find regularly rotating through our taps.

This same dedication extends to our kitchen, where our team of chefs create fresh and unique dishes inspired by local and seasonal ingredients, that perfectly balance comfort and excitement.
