Boombozz to Host Louisville Brewfest Kick-Off Party

boombozz_taphouse_logo_colorBoombozz Pizza and Taphouse, the presenting sponsor of the 6th Annual Louisville Brewfest, will host a party to kick-off Brewfest weekend on Thursday, October 16 beginning at 7:00pm. The event will be held at the Highlands location, 1448 Bardstown Road, and include free samples of the “Dry Rub Wing Pizza,” which is the official pizza of the 2014 Louisville Brewfest. Attendees will also have a chance to win a VIP Brewfest ticket package, t-shirts, pint glasses and many other fun giveaways. Boombozz proudly offers a wide selection of craft beers on draft, and always makes sure to show appreciation by including as many locally brewed taps as possible.  All of these local beers will be on special for the kickoff party, as well as Social Hour everyday.

IMG_1562.JPGMore than fifteen breweries will offer their craft and specialty beers at the 6th Annual Louisville Brewfest on Friday, October 17th from 4:00pm to 10:00pm at the Louisville Slugger Field, 401 East Main Street. The event will also feature independent wines, bourbon, and food, as well as a silent auction and live music by Alanna Fugate, Youngstown Parade, and Thirty Spokes. Admission is $5 and includes a souvenir cup. Designated drivers get in free. Food and drink tickets will be sold for $1 each, with full pours costing 4 tickets and food prices vary. All proceeds will benefit the Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA).

Participating local brewers include Against the Grain, Apocalypse, BBC Taproom, Bluegrass Brewing Company, Cumberland Brews, Falls City, Great Flood, New Albanian and Sterling. Guest brewers from the region include Beer Engine from Danville, Country Boy from Lexington, Flat 12 from Indianapolis, Kentucky Ale from Lexington, Rivertown from Cincinnati, Tin Man Brewing from Evansville, Upland from Bloomington and West 6th from Lexington. Locally made wines from Forest Edge Winery, Horseshoe Bend Winery, Old 502 Winery, Smith-Berry Winery, and Millanova Winery, as well as bourbon from Heaven Hill Distilleries will also be available.

Food will be available from BoomBozz Pizza & Taphouse, Buckheads Mountain Grill, Down One Bourbon Bar,
Manny & Merle, Shack in the Back BBQ, ValuMarket, Red’s Comfort Foods, and Rocky’s Sub Pub, and the Louisville Water Company will serve Pure Tap.
