Mark your calendars for the Kentucky Ale Brew Off in Lexington, KY on May 10, 2014. Kentucky ale will provide the water and the yeast (English ale or Kolsch) and homebrewers supply everything else. Winner and a guest get GABF brewer’s passes and airfare to Denver and Kentucky Ale enters their beer in Category 1 Pro-Am.

An Illinois native, John has learned to embrace the Kentucky culture by rarely using his turn signal and drinking his bourbon neat.
