Country Boy to release first ever cider, KY Proud Hard Cider!

What the Dickens! Looks like another Kentucky Brewery is making the news today also!  Thanks to Jeff from Country Boy for giving us the details!

“Lexington based Country Boy Brewing is set to release the first ever KY Proud Hard Cider made by a microbrewery. The release of the cider on July 24th, 2014 comes as Country Boy continues to expand production to its original microbrewery that opened in February, 2012. The first cider, made with apples from Evan’s Orchard in Scott Co. Kentucky, is the first of many ciders that Country Boy intends to produce.
Co-Owner Daniel Harrison (DH) is looking forward to the release with excitement. “It is something that we are really pumped about and that we cannot wait to share with the good folks in Kentucky. Hard Cider is a quickly growing part of the craft market-and we are happy to bring some of that market to Lexington. “
It was only this year that Hard Cider under 7% has been legal for Kentucky microbreweries to produce. Before, it was classified as a wine.
Country Boy Brewing is located on 436 Chair Avenue off of Broadway in Lexington, KY. The taproom is open from 4-12 Monday and Tuesday and 12-12 on Wednesday to Sunday.”
